Form notification troubleshooting

Website contact form not sending email

A website form can appear to submit successfully while its notification never reaches the business mailbox. AIVIQ traces the handoff between the form, hosting platform or form service, sender identity and receiving mailbox.

What to look for

Useful signs and evidence

Common signs

  • The success message appears but no notification arrives
  • Notifications stopped after a site or DNS change
  • One recipient works while another does not
  • The host dashboard shows a submission but email is missing

What the evidence can show

The form may lack platform detection fields, use an unauthenticated From address, call a broken endpoint or send correctly into a filtered mailbox. Public DNS can explain some authentication context but cannot see private spam folders, rules or provider logs.

What to provide

Provide the page URL, hosting platform, form service, intended recipient, approximate test time and any platform event or error. Use test content only and redact real customer information. Never send mailbox or hosting passwords.

What the starting scope covers

One ordinary form-notification incident starts at CAD $89. A single clearly identified configuration correction may fit CAD $49. Rebuilding a form backend, repairing custom server code or addressing multiple sites requires a quote.

Safe expectations

Repair, verify, and stop at the boundary

Verification confirms a safe test submission and the available platform evidence. It does not guarantee every future message will bypass recipient filtering. Temporary collaborator access is removed after the check.

Before changing DNS or account settings, record the existing configuration. Use temporary access where needed, verify the agreed result, and remove that access afterward. AIVIQ does not claim access to private provider systems and does not promise a guaranteed repair time.

Next step

Start with the free public DNS check or send a written request through the main Business Email Rescue page. The hub explains all four price levels, exclusions, access rules and what happens after submission.

Questions

Before you start

Does a success message prove the email was delivered?

No. It may only confirm the browser submitted the form; notification and mailbox delivery are later steps.

Should a form send from the visitor’s address?

Often it is safer to use an authenticated domain sender and place the visitor address in Reply-To, depending on the form platform.
